Nature's most durable fiber

Materials that maintain their longevity while positively impacting the communities that make them are at the heart of Kodama's mission.

Choosing to use hemp in our products is an easy step for the health of our planet and ourselves. A single hectare of hemp sequesters 24 tons of carbon per growing season.

For us, this means choosing hemp products that are long-lasting, have fewer emissions overall, use drastically less water, and return important nutrients to the soil.

Safe and non-toxic for the communities where hemp is grown.

Hemp requires less water, no pesticides, while delivering high yields per hectare

Ancient Wisdom

The history of hemp goes back as far as agriculture itself, namely to 8000 BC. It was used for clothing and paper and was embedded in the culture of many peoples and traditions. The reintroduction of this particular plant fiber is important to us for people and planet and a new generation of higher consciousness.

Stronger fibers

Not only is hemp stronger than steel when molded into the same structure, but it also has a higher tear resistance than cotton.

Regenerative agriculture not only has the potential to sequester large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere in our soils, it can also help farms become more productive.

Our journey to work with Vietnamese hemp farms

Stay tuned as we travel and capture the unique stories of the farms in the coming year. We will thoroughly inspect the farms we work with to ensure quality and the best working conditions.
